Community and Career Colleges

International students can apply for studies in Canadian Community and career colleges for certificate (1 year), Graduate Certificate (1-2 years) Diploma(2 years), Advance Diploma (3 year) or a degree program ( 3 /4 years)

International students are required to show their English/French language proficiency depending upon their proposed institution

Students with low IELTS may opt English for Academic purpose for 1-2 semesters

Universities

International students need to show high academic record with English language proficiency for Canadian Universities

Canadian Universities offer Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. Programs.

Bachelor degree is completed in 4-5 years, Master in 1.5 -2 years and Ph.D. in 3-5 years.

The main intake is in September each year, though many colleges and universities have a smaller intake in January or May.

Benefits while being as a Canadian Student

International Students during their studies, who are more than post-secondary level are allowed to work part time (20 hours per week) per week during term period, during vacations, they can do full time job.

International Students can invite their family members to Canada on a visit visa

International students are also allowed to bring their spouse and children to Canada. Their spouse can work full time with an open work permit

Student will be granted Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) depending upon the period of study, enrolled in Community / Public College or University and studied inside Canada (ONLINE Education not accepted).

After the successful completing the study students can apply for Post-graduate Work permit (PGWP) Only students who have studied in Community / Public College or University, inside Canada and Depending upon the duration of their study will be eligible for PGWP

Students are eligible to get up to 3 years of work permit

While they are in the status of work permit, after a year experience, the student can apply for permanent resident through Express Entry (Canada Experience Class) and also by various streams by Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Students score in CRS is increased by their study inside Canada and work experience where they are intend to get the Permanent Residency within a time period
